Hi I’m Diana and this is my first time in Argentina and I am so excited to be here! My goal here is to be completely immersed in the culture, get pushed out of my comfort zone, and learn some Spanish before I go back!
At the OLEANA internship, I hope to discover the business world , the fashion industry and help me decide what I would like to do in the future.
I love being a girl and I love jewelry. I think my favorite so far at OLEANA is the Art Nouveau Collection, especially the Gold Orchid Bracelet for its grace and elegance. If I could, I would dress like a Greek goddess everyday and the Art Nouveau Collection would be so perfect for any goddess outfit.

This opera by Claude Debussy is one of the works that inspired the Oleana Art Nouveau line alongside the mysterious orchid. But what exactly is this work? The opera was presented in Paris in 1902 at the Opera-Comique. It was the only opera ever completed by Debussy. The plot portrays love, murder, and guilt through the story of a love triangle.
The opera tells the tale of Prince Golaud and his love for a mysterious young woman Mélisande whom he encountered weeping while lost in a forest. After marrying her and bringing her to live in the castle of his grandfather she becomes increasingly attached to Golaud’s younger half-brother Pelléas. Out of jealousy, Golaud desperately seeks to find out the truth about their relationship, even forcing his own child, Yniold, to spy on the couple. Pelléas decides to leave the castle for fear of the consequences of his growing love for Mélisande but meets with her one last time. They finally confess their love for one another and the two kiss. Upon the confession and the passionate embrace, the eavesdropping Golaud, rushes out and kills Pelléas. Shortly after Mélisande herself dies, after childbirth, with Golaud still begging her to tell him “the truth”. Overcome with guilt of his actions, Golaud believes he is responsible for the true reason she died.
The opera is a classic tale of love and tragedy represented through five acts. I’ve chosen to display the Orchid Bracelet Ring a part of the Oleana Art Nouveau line. It represents the beauty of love and the mysterious forest where our Prince first saw the mysterious Mélisande and despite its beauty still manages to portray the tragedy of unrequited love.

Pina is the 2011 3D film documentary about the German choreographer Pina Bausch.
During the documentary Baush died unexpectedly and the production was concelled but her dancers convinced the film’s producer to continue with the production. Some of her best known pieces are performed and the showcased dancers talk about Pina. The film followers the dancers around the city Wuppertal-the place where Pina, for 35 years, produced some of her most magnificent work.

The film captures glimpses of the future, past loves, recurring memories, and reality. The Galaxy collection is inspired by the densely populated and futuristic cities portrayed in the film. When viewing the line a spectator can find themselves in this 2046 futuristic dream world amidst the symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes and patterns designed by the eclectic mix of metals and gemstones.

My name is Brittany and I am one of Oleana’s newest interns this summer and fall in Buenos Aires. My home is in Los Angeles, California and I am having a great time getting to know and work in a big city! My internship is with marketing Oleana here in Argentina and in the U.S. By trade I am a Biologist with an interest in learning more about running a business. I’m learning brand new tips everyday and Yanina Faur, Oleana’s owner, is making my transition from science into business both amazing and informative. Marketing comprises so many things from social networking, to event planning, creating sales events, learning about the consumer base, advertising strategies, and more. For learning something so different from my trade I couldn’t have picked a better place to Intern. There’s so much flexibility here with what an intern can do and how much time they want to dedicate. Also, Yanina is the sweetest and most talented person to work alongside with. At Oleana I have the opportunity to be a part of the team, expand on the tasks and marketing plans left by previous interns, and create my own.
